PARIS – The 2018 Paris Motor Show witnessed the return of Toyota Camry on the European continent. At the exhibition, the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid marked the return of the Camry after a 14-year absence.

The 2019 Toyota Camry features a D-4S gasoline engine (Direct injection 4-stroke gasoline engine Superior version) 4-cylinder 2.5-liter Dual VVT-i with VVT-iE (Variable Intelligent Timing System by Electric motor) with 1 electric motor.

Power 218 hp with CO2 emissions below 98 gr per km. For fuel consumption 23.8 km per liter.

The new Toyota Hybrid System (THS II) includes a new Sequential Shiftmatic technology that allows the driver to ‘shift’ with a lever mounted on the console, mimicking a fast six-speed automatic transmission, for strong performance and driving pleasure.

The new Human Machine Interface (HMI) Camry displays 3 easy-to-read displays: 10 “Head-up Display (HUD); 7 “in-meter Multi-information Display; and an 8 “center console display consisting of Toyota’s Touch® 2 multimedia system.

The sedan that adopts the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) is equipped with a Toyota Safety Sense system that houses the Pre-Collision System (PCS) with the Pedestrian Detection function; Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with the help of steering wheel; Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Road Sign Assist (RSA) technology.

The Toyota Camry which is currently sold is the eighth generation. His first generation appeared in 1982.

Until now Camry was asked as the best-selling sedan in the D / E segment in the world. Total sales since its launch in 1982 amounted to 19 million units. Sales of Toyota Camry per year reach 700,000 units.
